About Chirp Chips: They are the co-founders of the first ever cricket tortilla chip company, called "Chirps Chips" (www.chirpschips.com). Insects are one of the most sustainable protein sources out there, so we are on a mission to show people how delicious they can be and get America eating bugs! We do this by adding a protein powder from crickets to tortilla chips. They look and taste like a normal chip, but they have as much protein as an egg per serving.

About the Event: We have 2000+ lbs of cricket tortilla chips ready to go, and will be partnering with Chipotle to donate beans, not to mention 1,000 lbs of Nacho Cheese, hundreds of lbs of salsa, and 16 tables to fit it all!

So eat bugs and celebrate the Earth!

Bug Appétit!

ABOUT THE DINNER PARTY:
The Dinner Party is a community of mostly 20- and 30- somethings who’ve each experienced significant loss. We get together over potluck dinners to talk about the ways in which it continues to affect our lives and how to thrive in #lifeafterloss. Our mission is to transform life after loss from an isolating experience into one marked by community support, candid conversation, and forward movement. www.thedinnerparty.org.

We are teaming up with Faith Matters Network, a network of over 500 faith-rooted social justice leaders working to transform their communities across the southeast, and the anti-harassment powerhouse, Hollaback!, to lead a campaign we're calling #100days100dinners. From MLK Day through the first 100 days of the new Administration, we’ll host 100 potluck dinners, both large-scale and small-scale, in rural and urban spaces nationwide.

The first set of dinners will focus on bringing together those that share a common identity, as well as the vocabulary to name and share where it hurts. In the second phase of dinners, “Where Do We Go from Here?”, we’ll create spaces for healing across lines of difference among people who desire real understanding, with the goal of expanding our circles of concern. Our hope is that by creating safe spaces (something The Dinner Party has lots of experience with) for people to connect, collective healing will happen and real dialogue across the aisle can begin.

RoastSF's Comedy Roast of Santa Claus

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I’m telling you why, cause Santa Claus is comingggggggggg…… to get Roasted. (Sung off-key)

What says “Holiday Season” more than a degrading, mean-spirited, hate-filled, hilariously funny, live Comedy Roast?

Join us Saturday December 17th at the SoMa StrEat Food Park in San Francisco as we Roast Santa, Christmas, and the holiday spirit.

That's right, RoastSF's back with another heart stopping, fall-to-the-floor laughing, no holds barred comedy roast! Join us as 8 of the Bay's best comedians come together to roast each other and this month's controversial guest of honor. You've seen the comedy roasts on TV, and online, now it's time to see one live! Drinking encouraged, sensitivity... is not.

Our guest of honor, Santa Claus, is a Bay Area transplant from the North Pole. How could we roast somebody so jolly and nice? Just ask a jew or a poor person how friendly Santa really is. BTW, Santa Claus is hella cool, he’s down to be roasted, Mrs. Claus will be in the audience, and if he doesn’t like our jokes he said he’ll just throw away our gifts this year… So grab your wish list, worst Christmas sweater, and get ready to take some awkward instagram shots on an old man’s lap!
