Free Concert: Live Music by Headshine

"Headshine realize their dreams with chill, acoustic Cali rock. After being nominated for Best Acoustic Band for the OC Music Awards last year, Headshine embarked on a massive tour around the country which culminated with a show with The Wailers."106.7 KROQ

New bonfire song "Rad Summer Day" and the latest cd "Diamond in the Sun" by Headshine is now on iTunes. One of the songs 'Diamond in the Sun' co-written by RAS, Big B and Jim Perkins is also featured on Big B's album "Fools Gold" now in stores nationwide with the Dirty Heads, P!nk and Slightly Stoopid.

With a touch of reggae and California sunshine, the Huntington Beach singer/songwriter has cultivated a surfer/acoustic sound called Headshine; and it's what happens when something comes alive inside and begins to radiate. One moment you're singing along and the next thing you know you're at a show rockin' a shaker, or crowd surfing with a bunch of good friends. Listen to the music and your head will shine.

Word of mouth kick-started the southern California artist toward the national stage. Headshine has recently opened tour dates for Ziggy Marley, Jamaican reggae-legends The Wailers, Katchafire, Natty Vibes and Sashamon from Hawaii, Al Anderson’s Original Wailers, The English Beat, pop-punk’s Less Than Jake, the national rock band Lit, O.A.R, Ballyhoo, Stick Figure and The Supervillains.

Check out the band here for more information. We look forward to a rockin' time!

Roast SF: Roast of Mayor Ed Lee

RoastSF is back with another heart stopping, fall-to-the-floor laughing, no-jokes barred comedy roast. Join us as we come together to mock each other and this month’s guest of honor. You’ve seen the comedy roasts on TV, and online, now it’s time to see one live!

*Actual Mayor of San Francisco Ed Lee will not be in attendance, c'mon now.  The “real” mayor has no association with this show.  RoastSF DOES have a top notch improv actor who has many Ed Lee similarities, like wearing glasses and being Asian.  And don’t worry, our guys never been booed off stage.  Seriously though, as far as Ed Lee impersonators go, he’s at the top of the game, so good.  We heard he once snuck into a Twitter party and left with $5,000 and a happy ending.  It’s been rumored he once let tourists take pictures “with the Mayor” for $1, and made over $14.  Oh yea, unlike the real Mayor, our Ed Lee’s jokes are funny.

Swig n' Swine

It's that time again! Bon VivantsImbibe Magazine and Eat Drink SF are excited to invite you to the 1st Annual Swig n’ Swine - SAN FRANCISCO!  Now in our 7th year of Pig & Punch / Swig n’ Swine events, we are excited to be bringing the incredible party and fundraiser to our hometown for the first time!

Tickets available here!

For those that are unfamiliar - prior to each event, we coordinate a large group that volunteers their time at a local charter school to work on any projects that need to get done (painting, landscaping, deep cleaning, moving lots of heavy objects etc), then we throw a big drinking, eating, and dancing party, and all the proceeds are donated back to that school. It’s about building community around food and drink and the people that love it.  To date, Pig & Punch / Swig n' Swine has raised just over $230,000 for charter schools in Miami, New Orleans, Brooklyn, Portland, and Austin (and soon KIPP San Francisco!).  We’ve also coordinated 7,043 cumulative hours of volunteer labor at those schools. Check out this videoto get a better sense of what this killer party is all about.

At Swig n’ Swine, the cocktails are a little tongue-in-cheek, we'll have eight MASSIVE barrels of punch crafted by The Bon Vivants, games, other funny tricks, music from our childhood pal, Official GoPro DJ - DJ Dojah making us dance all afternoon, a couple pop-ins from The Jazz Mafia to remind us of New Orleans, plus tons of pig and sides cooked up by some of our favorite chefs. And we have several hundred t-shirts with the new SF logo designed and we plan on selling every one of them for the kids (one is included with your ticket price but you can always buy more or other awesome merch too… all for charity).

Like all other Swig n’ Swines, we have an amazing lineup of chefs who are generously donating their time to come throw down with us. Scott will be making food along with these other San Francisco super talents:

Chef Thomas McNaughton - Flour + Water, Central Kitchen, Aatxe, Cafe du Nord, Salumeria

Chef Justin Simoneaux - The Boxing Room

Chef Craig Stoll - Delfina, Delfina Pizzarias, Locanda

Chef Ravi Kapur - Liholiho Yacht Club

and more...

Come out, have a blast, and support the cause. You don't want to miss it. Your Swig n’ Swine tank is included in the price of this ticket, along with all the food, drink, dancing, smiling and memories you can take!

We can't wait to see you all and donate a ton of money to the KIPP San Francisco, whose mission is to build leaders through academic excellence and civic responsibility.  A large group of bartenders will have volunteered there all day a few days before the party so KIPP SF can get the money and the muscle!

Must be 21 or older - please be prepared to present a valid photo ID upon check in.

A big big thanks to all of our sponsors!

The SF Hunt 2.0 After Party

The SF Hunt is back! Register here: https://thesfhunt.com/

Prices for The Hunt go up on the first of each month leading up to gameday. Get em while they're hot & use the code TruckEats56 for 10% off!

Bear suits. Riddles. New friends. Costumes. Free stuff. Co-discovery. Need I say more? Okay I will anyway.

The SF Hunt is an all day scavenger hunt that takes you all over San Francisco. All 100+ riddles will be housed in native iOS and Android apps! The answer to each riddle is a unique location in SF. Once you figure out the correct answer, you'll run, bike, or take public transportation to the location and upload a photo or video in the app. If you're in the right place, your screen will flash and you'll get instant feedback that you're right.

There will be live leaderboards to track your team's status, and special bars to get deals on drinks when you need a breather.

After hours of hunting your little faces off, we'll gather at the SOMA StrEat Food Park at 8pm (and after) to drink some free brews (thanks New Belgium!) and eat. We'll also be handing out prizes from the day's adventures.

Don't worry, if you've ever done one of our events before (The SF Hunt, The Loop), you know we've still got some magic up our sleeves too. We can't tell you everything!

We can tell you we've got some incredible sponsors participating this year who will only add to your experience for the day.

This year's sponsors (who you should expect to win swag from) include The North Face, New Belgium Brewing, Doughbies, Fleet Feet, Sunski, BucketFeet, Oru Kayak, and Sports Basement. As always, a portion of proceeds will benefit our non-profit partners Team Red, White, and Blue and (new this year) Outward Bound California!

Pretty jacked up about The Hunt? Us too. TheSFHunt.com is where you can register. Prices go up on the first of each month so don't delay!

We'll be posting updates here leading up to gameday so make sure to join the event to stay up to speed. Can't wait to get weird together.

Comedy Roast of Bernie Sanders by RoastSF

Tickets are available here

This months’ guest of honor has touched the hearts of more hippies then the Grateful Dead, Jane Fonda and LSD combined.  He may be old, but he promised he’ll stay awake!  Can Bernie bring the heat in his rebuttal or will he just stand there shouting and waving his hands?  WE ARE SICK, AND TIRED, OF WAITING!

*Actual Presidential Candidate/Senator/SmellyOldGuy Bernie Sanders will not be attendance, neither will Killer Mike (hopefully).  We’ve found a top notch improv actor who's spent most of his career getting older and yelling at people on the street about change, he’ll be perfect!  Who knows what's going to happen, magical sparrows may even land on the podium.  The only thing for sure is the show is way too mean and obscene to get the support of the real Bernie Sanders.

#BurnTheBern
