This year, Mission Graduates will join SoMa StrEat Food Park to host another successful Food Truck for Thought! While it's free entry to the park, let's eat, drink and be merry for a great cause!
WHO: Mission Graduates Supporters, Mission residents, Bay Area Foodies, Mission Restaurants and Mission Graduates
WHAT: The 8th Annual Food for Thought
WHERE: SoMa StrEat Food Park (+over 20 restaurants around the Mission District)
WHEN: Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 5-8pm
WHY: Food for Thought is Mission Graduates signature event, raising funds for Mission Graduates programming that supports building a college-going culture in the Mission.
This October, Mission Graduates will host the 8th annual Food for Thought, a unique Mission District-wide fundraiser, on October 19th, 2016. We'll kick-off on Tuesday, September 13 at SoMa StrEat Food Park! Thousands of diners from all over the Bay Area will dine at over 20 participating restaurants, all in support of one mission: to send more Mission youth to college.
The concept is simple – participating restaurants pledge to donate 20-50% of the proceeds from one night in exchange for Mission Graduates supporters dining out en masse, buying raffle tickets for a long list of amazing donated prizes and showing their support for the work we do.
Last year’s Food for Thought Raffle prizes include an all-expense paid trip to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, an iPad mini, tickets to the San Francisco Opera and much, much more! Stay tuned for the exciting list of prizes for this year.
