We took a small break from chasing the elotero down the street and got our fix at NorCal’s first elote festival: ELOTE — The Corniest Festival Yet!
10+ of the Bay’s best elote vendors dished out fields of a-maize-ing specials: boiled, grilled, topped and stuffed, EVERYTHING ELOTE! We got to sink our teeth into classics like flame-kissed corn on the cob, roasted to perfection, slathered in butter, mayo, queso, and chile or toss back a cupful of sweet elote with chile and limón. Then try trendy new twists like elote lumpia, elote-topped and stuffed corn dogs, elote tots, elote pizza, and even build-our-own elote!
We unlocked our full dance potential with all-you-can-drink cervezas and live beats had us husking a move all day long.
